Renting a Camper in Disney World

We camped at Fort Wilderness...without owning a tent or a camper, and flying to Florida from Pennsylvania...we camped at Fort Wilderness. I don't mean we rented a cabin at Fort Wilderness and called it camping, we camped in a camper at Fort Wilderness.
If you're looking for a truly unique Disney World experience this option could be for you. Fort Wilderness is probably one of the most underrated resorts on Disney property. I could write an entire post on why, but that's not what this post is about.
I recently posted on Instagram about our 2022 camping adventure at the Fort, and SO many people had no idea that it could be an option for them. Which is understandable, because the majority of Disney vacationers are flying into Orlando on an airplane, so how on earth are they bringing their tent or camper with them?
The solution...
Renting a camper with all of the bells and whistles for a magical stay in the "wilderness" of Disney World.
We rented a camper from Kissimmee Orlando RV Rental (link to their site at the bottom) and our experience with them was nothing short of magical. We arrived at Disney World early in the day dropped our things at the "Reception Outpost" and went right to Magic Kingdom because we could. We didn't need to wait around for our camper, we didn't have to set it up (because we absolutely would have no idea how to do that) and we didn't need to be there until it was time for our tour of the place. The basics are
you rent yourself a campsite through Disney (make sure it's one that your camper rental will fit on!)
you rent yourself a camper
on arrival day you are in contact with the rental company so they know which site you are on
they set everything up for you and give you a run down of the camper basics
you camp your little heart out in Disney World in your home away from home
you check- out and they pick the camper up
It is truly such a seamless experience. The camper came stocked with kitchen essentials, sheets/blankets and towels. We even added a golf cart and a firepit to our rental and that was dropped off at our campsite with the camper.
Would I personally camp at Disney World again? I'm not sure if I would, but there are specific reasons for that and I'll leave that for another post. But, our experience with Kissimmee Orlando RV Rental was amazing. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking of this option for their Walt Disney World vacation.
